15 Years of Music, Heart, and Impact — and We’re Just Getting Started!

A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDER

In 2011, Music Movement officially became a 501(c)(3), and a small grassroots charity was born in Southern California.

I often think back to our first West Coast Charity Golf Tournament — put together on a wing, a prayer, and a lot of crossed fingers — which allowed us to fund our initial grants.

At the time, we had no idea what the future would hold. We simply believed that music had the power to change lives, and we hoped we could help make that possible for children who needed it most.

When we saw the impact of those early grants — the joy, relief, and gratitude from families — something clicked in a way I will never forget.

In that moment, Music Movement stopped being just an idea… it became a calling.

Bill, my husband and partner in Music Movement, and I looked at each other and knew there was no turning back. We had witnessed the power of music in a child’s life, and we were all in.

After all these years, I feel even more inspired — and deeply grateful for the extraordinary community that has carried this mission forward.

What began as a hopeful effort in Southern California has grown into a nationwide mission, helping children and families across the country discover confidence and connection through music.

Together, we are approaching two remarkable milestones: $880,000 in cumulative giving and nearly 500 grants awarded since our founding. Each grant represents a child discovering their voice, building confidence, and experiencing the transformative power of music.

We invite you to explore our Stories of Impact page—a collection of videos, photos, and testimonials that capture the moments you made possible.

From sponsors and volunteers to therapists and families, every person who supports this work – your generosity, belief, and support have helped grow idea into a community-driven, nationwide mission that continues to change lives every single day.

Your support is creating confidence, joy, and belonging for youth with autism and developmental differences—and that ripple extends far beyond 2026.

And after 15 incredible years, the music is still playing — and the best is yet to come!

With heartfelt gratitude,

Stacie D’Agostino

Community, Connection, and the Power of Music in Seattle

Q1-2026-Newsletter-04

Music Movement was proud to partner with T-Mobile to host an Instrument Donation Party and Open House for AIM Seattle at their new facility in Magnuson Park. The event brought together AIM families, community members, and supporters for an afternoon of music, lunch, and the unveiling of a significant instrument donation that will help expand AIM Seattle’s Music Therapy Program.

Seeing families explore the new space and experience music together was a powerful reminder of the impact these programs have on young people and their families. The new instruments—made possible through the generosity of Music Movement and T-Mobile—will help broaden access to therapeutic music experiences for the AIM community.

We’re grateful to T-Mobile for their generous support and to their employee volunteers who donated their time to help make the event such a success. Partnerships like this create more opportunities for connection and healing through music. 🎶💙

From our family to yours, thank you for being part of the Movement. 💛
